Happy New Year !!! …..

LOL how long can we keep saying this for … Happy New Year to all fellow bloggers 🙂

Well what’s the saying ”best laid plans” ….

I do have plans to blog regularly and build up a schedule and hopefully in turn build up my followers, if I can do this for a year I am thinking about venturing into the world of vlogging 🙂

But I just can’t get my act together …. life just keeps happening and getting in the way.

Ok so quick recap ..

Weight loss journey is still happening overall a gain over Christmas and new year but this last weigh in has got me back to pre.christmas weight so now I’m hitting the plan hard …batch cooking, food logging, meal planning and something I learnt about today is Syn bags. So will be researching low syn treats and making up little bags containing between 10 – 15 syns so much easier to grab and snack 🙂

Due date for my second granddaughter is getting so very close and excitement is building, 35 days till due date. LOL even I have joined in with the nesting bug and helping Maya with the sorting, revamping and clearing of their small flat in preparation for her little family to return. This weekend also marks the 2nd birthday of my gorgeous No.1 granddaughter Ruby … the love of my life xx

This last weekend Hubbs and I spent a little time repairing the greenhouse and as the weather improves I’ll get out there and start a massive clean up in preparation for the new growing season. So looking forward to seeing my new bird house installed onto the side of the shed adding another feeding station for the birds to visit.

So that is where I’m at … still itching to spend sometime in my sewing space got a huge list of projects to do, which grows daily. Blankets and mini quilts for new baby, pegs bags, soup bowls holders ….. and so much more.

My camera has yet to venture out of its bag as yet this year … but a few photo opportunities in the very near future.

Work is great, growing more confident on a daily basis and learning so much as I go.

That’s it …. a bit of a slow start to the year but all in construction 🙂

Running out of time ……

There’s never enough of it and I’m always running out….

Everyday seems to be a battle, despite getting up early and going to bed late …. there’s still never enough hours in the day. On a daily basis (mainly days off ) I plan the night before what I want to get done and most days I stick to it, giving me that sense of achievement at the end of the day. I try and do a mix of chores and ‘me stuff’ which then means I actually end up enjoying both.

So I shop, cook, clean and tidy to then reward myself with time in the garden (weather permitting) or with my sewing machine which is a priority at the moment with a craft fare coming up in October I need to build up my stock. I buy fabric from charity shops or at sale prices which I then turn into small bags and fabric tubs then in turn sell them to make enough money to replenish my fabric stock. Much more rewarding and healthier than taking medication to keep me sane.

So both hubbs and I have changed our jobs reducing the hours that we are out at work, this was done to start having quality time and work on our bucket list and refreshing are home enough to be able to sit back and enjoy rather that always having something that needs doing.

At the age of 50plus I’ve never owned a passport or been up in a plane … I’d like to see some of those sights I’ve only ever seen on the telly …. canals of Venice… the northern lights …. are there seas really that blue..

Like I said at the start…. time is running out and so precious …. so much I want to do …. I treasure every moment I get to spend with my granddaughter and look forward to meeting my next grandchild in February. The children are grown adults now and finding their own individual way.

So watch this space … follow my adventures …
